As a long time lurker and first time poster, I hope I can get some of the great advice I've seen thrown around in here.
I am shooting desert wildlife (primarily reptiles and invertibrates) with the D60 and am in need of an extremely sharp lens. I have all but decided on both the 180L for it's macro capabilities and the 400F5.6L for the more difficult to approach species (rock lizards).
I have found a number of 400 users, but only a couple of 180 owners, with even less to say about the lens.
Is the bokeh poor as some say? Are there any galleries I can peruse? Is it a much better lens than the Canon 100 macro?
I would love to see some larger pictures with this lens... can anyone share their opinions, pictures, hearsay?
thanks in advance!
