This is exactly why we should all pat ourselves on the back for buying into the Canon fraternity, and be wary of those who tempt us to "the dark side".

Here, some poor Japanese tourist can be clearly seen (thanks to my ability to actually use my beloved 30D) wondering what to do when sat facing one of Japan's most famous "torii".

I almost feel sad for him. You see, his Nikon is just too odd a machine. Non-intuitive, clumsy and cheap-feeling. And kind of embarrassing when you think about it.
If only he'd bought a Canon, he would be shooting the torii, and not simply be sat looking at it.

What a shame....

looks to me like he's contemplating correct exposure and halfway decent composition, both of which is sorely lacking in that horribly washed pic. ;)

That was the idea :D

[Anyone who knows me, knows I shot Nikon film cameras for years....but the occasional dig for fun doesn't hurt does it!]

To me it looks like he's contemplating suicide..

Well Jurgen....he did buy into the Nikon lens system, so I wouldn't be surprised if he was!
