How would you edit it freebird? I am a newbie at photography and I have Photoshop 7.0 and the software that came with my 40d but I don't have a clue how to use it yet!

great pup, but great composition as well, IMHO...I like both shots and the shallow DOF. As a Lab Owner.....I like shot one the best. When we are duck hunting, I see that view alot from our labs, as they are watching the action beside one of us.

This is a 2 min quicky with vignette and some grass cloned out. Unsharp mask also applied to dog only.

Thanks CB! She is a great looking pup! I hope to get some pics of my brothers black lab this winter while the snow is on and he is duck hunting!

Ahh...thanks freebird! I wouldn't have thought about getting rid of the grass, etc. This is why I need to learn photoshop and figure out how to make my pictures better!

Your welcome draw4u, sharing is what POTN is all about:D
Hang around the post processing threads, some very good advice there. Youtube also has some very good tutorials on different PS tools and uses.

HA! Yeah, she will be a different looking dog for sure. He is also going to work with this one for duck hunting so that should make some nice pics to!! Great shot of Stanley!

whats really fun is for the first two years....they chew up all your stuff. Wood, plastic, rubber, METAL...nothing is safe. Gotta luv 'em!!!

Yeah, that is why I don't have labs or boxers anymore and switched to a Cairn Terrier. He is small, very smart, doesn't dig, doesn't shed, plays soccer around the house, easy to train, doesn't eat alot, etc. haha I still like seeing the big dogs though and hope to get some good pics of them, but don't want them at the puppy stages!!
