Is it possible, to store the pictures trough firewire or other cable directly into the mac or pc.... seen some pros doing that, i have a 1D???

Well, should work if the camera is supported for the Mac OS (are you using "Classic" or "OS X"?). I know that the new version of Capture One Pro works with Hasselblad and Canon, so you can shoot directly into your Mac (or PC) while in a studio environment. Canon's own software is supposed to work too, but I haven't tried that one out yet.

if you want to shoot direct to your pc via the camera and store direct to pc you will need to have a copy of a digital capture software the software supplied by cannon is ok but does not have apreview window breeze browser remote pro is the one i use best for studio portrate and macro work

solved, with Canon Remote Capture, great thing for macro and studio shooting.

There's a pre-realease of their new version too, that might be interesting to you if the "official" version isn't doing what you want. I've seen this beast in work on a G5 and the 8 megapixles images just "flew" into the machine (in RAW) ready to be worked on.
