beautiful shots, but they're coming out a little too dark, at least on my monitor. unless youre going for just a silouhette, i'd suggest lightening the foreground (especially on the bench shot)

love the second shot. the darkness is not a problem for me. it gives it a sense of spook. i actually put this in photoshop and tried a few things, and every mod i made came out looking cool, which means the shot is great. I even lightened it up a bit as the other poster said, but i think i like yours better. great shot.

man i just looked at your shots and you ahve some AWESOME stuff there. love the moddiness of them, they are really terrific. Unfortunately, all of my shots are of my son and family so you would probably not be too interested in them. Great shots though, really well done.;)

I like the bench shot. A bench out in the middle of nowhere. It's neat. creative.
Kinda like in the movie NApoleon Dynamite when Debbie uses a payphone out in the middle in rural iowa on a dirt road.

Beautiful shots, both of them :) I prefer the first version you posted, on my adobe gamma "calibrated" LCD.

I love the orignal shots. I wouldn't change a thing. I think the darkness is very effective, especially with the clouds in #1. Mind listing the EXIF.
