It has been raining all day here in Auckland. I had my camera with me and took several shots as the rain finally stopped momentarily before sun set and just after sun set. Not too sure what i was doing so was just experimenting.

C&C are welcome

1. when the sun finally appeared. shot through the glass at the uni library (it has wire mesh in it which is why the bands of dark and light)

2&3 are just testing out expure time as the clouds where moving very fast.

4. I was really interested in the reflection of the road surface after the rain

#2 is perfect. #3 would be if there had been more clouds, but I do like that effect.

Thanks Scottes. The clouds were moving very fast, i was trying to see what the effect would be if i blurred them. Too bad by then there wasn't much light left hehe.

Anymore C&Cs guys?

Well, for a contrasting opinion... I actually prefer the clouds in #3. I respect Scottes opinion (and absorb much of his knowledge in another forum). But I have a problem with the clouds in #2 because they are blurred, but not enough to look good. They just look "out of focus". If you had lengthened the exposure time to blur them more, they would have looked better (to me). On #3, the sky is smoother, but lacks good clouds, so it isn't a problem. My only problem with #3 is the exposure is a little higher and the foreground street is too hot. Just another person's opinion. :)

I really like the last one. If I had shot it, the only thing I would have tried would be a longer exposure to make the light streaks run all the way through the frame instead of ending within the shot.
