As I have your attention, do you use the 50 1.8 much?

I took mine back because the pics were too soft to be acceptable but am wondering whether mine was a lemon.

I have only taken three or four test pics when I bought it , to see if it was working.
And no, my tests were quite sharp , only that at 1.8 the DOF is very shallow,
