I have never shot a concert before so I brought my camera to last nights show. Any thoughts on how I could improve these images?

Not bad for a first time, definitely not bad! Some odd framing/crops, a bit "observing" but definitely not bad. And #1 and 6 are pretty creative; I think I (as someone who regularly shoots gigs) wouldn't even have noticed it.

Thanks nokus. I am curious about your observing comment,I think I know what you mean but I am not sure exactly what I would do to make the images feel more engaged.
I learned a lot. I shot the first couple of songs from stage left and have zillions of frames with faces obscured with guitar necks.

I think you are thinking of Kimberley Dahme http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kimberley_Dahme

Pretty good for first and second time, at least technically. 4 and 5 look especially sharp.
I'm not sure what more you want technically.
4 is my favorite and nice shot of the stage show and dual performing [too bad about the monitor blocking most of the guy, could use a little more of him in the shot].
As for the others, you could use more frontal shots and shots with their eyes open, projecting some emotion. #7 could be a little sharper and needs her eyes open. Unfortunately, you got them half open. I am not sure what looks they gave you. Some acts may just not be that interesting to shoot.
