A copuple of snapshots of my son lounging around on a Sunday afternoon with his mommy.

These were shot with the kits lens while playing with my new flash. If the lighting seems off to you let me know. I know the light falls off a little in the first one on the side of his head. I am new to flash photography and have been messing with the flash all weekend so any input is welcomed.

did you try bounce and using the pull out thing {sorry} on the flash, The sto-fen is very good, but sometimes with children around home bounce gives a nice even lighting - with the "pull out thingie" anding some catch lights and avoiding the shadows under the eyes with bounce

Oh, yes. I have been trying every possible thing I can! New toys are fun... This one was shot with the Sto-Fen. So far I like the results I am getting from it.

I also have a lumiquest bounce that attaches to the top of the flash head. It is ok but I like the Sto-Fen better so far.

I thought the "pull out thingy" was for wide angle so I haven't played around much with it.

Thanks for the tip.

I'm not an expert but, there are enough shadows on the face to keep it from looking flat like some flashes tend to do. Overall I like the effect.
