Is there any reason to seriously expect an update to the 100mm macro?


I'm specifically wondering about an update to add IS.

Yes, and I will tell you why. The new Hybrid IS system is being touted as especially useful for macro lenses. I think this month or next, we will see a EF 100 F2.8 IS.
