I tried something new at a newborn shoot. I'm not happy with the conversion. The lighting was a little off, so the mom's hand came out too bright. I'm still playing with it. Anyway, aside from the conversion, does this concept work or does it look creepy? Advice and opinions welcome...

What seems to make it "creepy" is the lighting from below eye level. Basic horror movie lighting.

Your absolutely right. I think I like the shot, but I kicking myself about the lighting!

Your absolutely right. I think I like the shot, but I kicking myself about the lighting! None of the other shots have the bottom up lighting. I think there might have been a parent in the way. The mom had a white shirt on and she was kneeling down. I wonder if the light bounced off of her shirt and her body was blocking the other light sources. Live and learn, right?
