It was my first wedding, since purchasing an SLR. I'm still going through all the photos I took yesterday, but here's the ones that I've gotten to so far that have come out pretty nice. I hope you like them.
Critiques and Criticisms are gladly welcome . . . I just wanna get better.
All photos were taken with my 20D, Tamron 28-75, 550ex.
Thanks for looking!

The flash bracket was the give away for me.
How was the hired photographer to you? If you don't mind my asking.
As for the shots, I think the full color shot of the B&G in the aisle is very very good...puts the whole event in an appealing visual context.

Thanks, all!
Yes, I was a guest at the wedding. The photographers looked fine and very relaxed. I believe there were 3 of them. One kinda hung out at the front of the church (she was using a 20D). Another one worked up and down the aisle (she was using a Nikon D70). And there was another one up in the balcony where I took those aisle shots (i think she also had a 20D).
The bride's brother and his wife both have 20Ds, so it seemed like we had a herd of photographers. It was funny at the reception. I was using my 20D with my 550ex on a Stroboflip VH2000 and at least 10 people came up to me at the beginning of the cocktail hour, asking me to take pictures of them. I happily took the shots, and said, "You know that I'm not the hired photographer, right?" They apologized and I just laughed and told them that I would send the pics to the bride and groom.
Even during events like the cutting of the cake, it seemed like there were 20 SLRs surrounding the couple. I just want to see how my shots look compared to the hired photographers, to see if I have any improvement in my skills.

Holy Moly. DSLRs every where. Had everyone brought 70-200's it would have been like the light sword battles in Star Wars. LOL

Think you've made a fab job of all these shots.
They capture the emotion of the event.

i liked the whole group of shots, but my personal fav has to be the 4th [color in b&w]
question though.. how do you add the opaque copyright sybol & text? i have a bunch of photo's of local comedians who want to use my images on their web sites, i want to send proofs with the opaque credit & 'proof' stamped on them.......

Nice work. Pity about the veil cutting her nose off in the second shot. Looks like it was a big wedding.

the Copyright symbol is ALT+0-1-6-9. I use Photoshop Elements 3.0, and under the styles and effects tab on the right, there is a "Clear Emboss (Type)" button that I drag on top of the text that I want to emboss.
