My wife wanted me to take some photos of flowers she had. Unfortunately I made a hash of the exposure but after some cropping and fiddling with layers I arrived at this image, which I am quite pleased with. More importantly, my wife loves it.

Very nice! Composition is excellent. Color, DOF all work great.

Steve... very beautiful. Should be up on one of your walls. Care to share camera, lens, and exif?

Thanks. The EXIF should be embedded in the photo. The camera was a 300D with the kit lens and I used a Phoenix ring flash. Settings were 1/250, F/29, ISO100. Processing was Adobe Camera Raw then some tweaking of curves. I wasn't happy with the result so I tried black & white but didn't like that either. I thought that black & white with slight colour coming through might be good but didn't like that either so I ended up with the black & white layer over the colour at 100% opacity and Colour Burn mode. Then just some USM.
