Wasn't sure whether to post this in the Lens section, since I just got my new 50mm f/1.8, or in the Lighting section, since I just got my two umbrellas, stands, Wein safe sync and used my two existing Vivitar flashes, or whether to put this in this forum, given my unwitting test subject.

So, here it is. Tiger, posing for the new lighting setup and lens. Unfortunately, given the short DOF, I had focused on his body, so his face is a little out of focus.

Canon DRebel, 50mm f/1.8 lens.
1/200 sec, f/4, ISO-100.

Cute kitty and congrats on that lens!
I know it's tricky at 1.8. I also just got one. :mrgreen::cool:

Seems the first thing everyone can find to try ouit their new lens on is the kitty. Nice shot, and congrats on the new lens.

I finally got my wife to have a seat in front of the camera, but she made me promise not to post her picture on the internet. She got a fairly good amount of sun on Saturday, except where she had sunglasses on. :)
