I am interested in starting a photography business, and I am wondering if anyone more experienced has any tips for a new photographer to get exposure, and to start on the path to becoming pro?

Thanks

Just in haste ~ do scroll down the page to start with for similar threads in the past that may start you off and lead you in to asking more specific question(s) for those more experienced folk to help with.

HTH :)

I've been scrolling and reading bits here and there. I guess what I am really asking is: What are some things that you would recommend that one definitely have before starting a business? What things can I do without - re equipment? There seems to be so much out there in terms of gear, and I'd like to know what is absolutely necessary and what isn't. I'm interested in doing portraiture, and some landscapes as well. Kind of a loaded question I guess.

Just wondering if anyone had any general tips for someone starting out.

I'll keep browsing the forums :)

The first thing you need is a plan.

Once you have that, we can help with details.
