What I find fascinating about this shot is that you can almost see the old man he will become in that shot. The pose and the clothes are much more mature than the face.

Thanks a lot for the comments.
I shot a couple more of this little guy, but this is the one I liked the most, precisely, because of his expression.
In the other ones, his face is in sharp focus. In this one, I guess that I focused on the brim of his hat, which is slightly more forward than the face, and f/2.8 giving such a shallow DOF at this focal, made the face look "soft".
What can I say.....these things happen !!
