There I am, minding my own business, getting tourtured at the dentist, again. When the dental assistant says, "We're going to take some before & after pictures".
She says the camera is a hunk of junk, and doesn't work right. OOF pictures... don't know when the camera will take the picture after pressing the shutter button... and so on...
It was a 300D w/100mm 2.8 Macro lens & Ring Flash, in "Green Box" mode, with the self-timer on, Small/fine image size, and using the bottom-most AF point only. (I can't imagine why the pictures looked like garbage)
It is bad enough that i had to show them how to use the camera, and didn't get any DISCOUNT, but it's the same lens I've been agonizing over for the past couple of weeks! Talk about tourture!!!!

My dentist has a 10D with the 100mm Macro, we got talking last time about photography in general, hope he didn't charge me for it!

My dentist uses an endoscope hooked into a TV so you can see all the gory, blood splattering action. He takes occasional stills with it.
Personally I'm glad mine uses an endoscope. It'd be quite painful having a 100 f/2.8 shoved in your mouth.

Rinkrat, i hear you ;) Going to a dentist is bad enough, what happened with you is nothing less than torture.

Not only did you have to show him how to use it, but you probably paid for a lot of that camera. My dentist doesn't understand why I'm dragging my feet on coming back to get a $2,200 bridge installed.
He doesn't understand that he's in competition with B&H for my discretionary funds.
