I currently have a Crumpler 6 Million, Canon Backpack, and a Lowpro CompuDaypack and I am constantly switching between them. The Canon Pack is nice because it holds most of my equipment, but it offers little protection and is horribly uncomfortable. The Crumpler is fast and easy to get access to, but its small and expensive. The Compuday pack is comfy to wear and holds my laptop, but its a pain because it only holds a couple lenses and a body.

So basically I need something new to store my equipment in. I would love the ruggedness of a Pelican case like the 1514, but in more of a backpack style. I wish someone made a backpack harness for the 1514, then I would be in heaven. However, the 1514 would be bad for small trips and for mild hiking, plus it offers no tripod support.

So I am wondering are their any more modular systems out there? Maybe a pack that allows you to pull a smaller pack off of it? Or something like the tenbas with their inserts that you can remove? I found a really cool duffel bag insert by Pacsafe but the actual bag it goes in is a bit over priced for my tastes.

I don't mind spending up to 200 for a new or used bag but I need to it fit my needs and hold everything in my sig plus an addition flash and possibly one more small lens, or extra body.

I thionk you are starting to realize why photographers have several bags and always obsess over finding more of them! I swear by the ThinkTank stuff. One option you have is to buy a backpack to store your gear in, and pick up an empty Pelican case (no deviders) which you can store the backpack in for extra security when not in use.

Yeah, haha, I have 4 spare bags here. Some of the think tank stuff looks interesting, but there is nothing that really just grabs my attention.

I actually thought about doing the bag within a 1510 or 1600 series Pelican. I have a 1510 at work and a friend has a 1600, but I couldn't find any bags that fit in it fairly well.

I am really thinking this http://www.amazon.com/Pacsafe-Adventure-DuffelSafe-Padded-Camera/dp/B002LHLVJO/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=apparel&qid=1250698742&sr=8-1 combined with a duffel or large backpack or carryon bag is the way to go.

Anyone have any suggestions for a bag that would fit this insert fairly well? It is 18Hx10.5Wx8D.

Sorry to post one more time guys, but I have been researching like mad for the past couple days. I stumbled upon a couple interesting concepts, firs the Omni Trekker looks very nice, but a little expensive, and hardly any useful reviews. And secondly the Pelican PCS155 look fantastic, but again no reviews.

I am wondering does anyone have the PCS155? I really like the layout and ideas here. Also what are your thoughts on the PCS155 fitting in the 1510 overnight? I love the 1510 because it has the rollers and the overnight version has the laptop compartment, but I also want the flexibility that the soft bag (pcs155) offers. The dimensions are similar but the soft bag is slightly wider, however if I can make it fit then I would be very excited.
