Well, I finally went for it and ordered my first DSLR camera. It will be here Friday and I am so excited. Need help with what polarizing filter to get. Was told to go for a B & W circular polarizer, but I am lost as far as what mm to get... My camera is a Canon 50d with the kit 28-135mm is lense. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you,
Trace

And here is how to find that info - also, if you look closely at the front of the lens it should say what size it is.

Look at this image of the lens (from B&H's page linked above) (http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controller/home?O=ProductDetail&A=showMultipleImages&Q=&sku=149629&is=USA). Move your mouse over the image icon for the image of the front of the lens. There's a marking at the upper right that looks something like Φ72mm. That is showing the filter thread size.
