Many of those seem to be pictures taken of the dammed thing as well as by it,at the end of thye day its just a 2meg camera so doesn't compare at all with a 400D or any DSLR

Isn't the iPhone one of the most expensive to own, after adding the plan and all the apps?

As long as they keep that print from camera feature . . . it is critical!

If the Iphone has surpassed the 400d, then it only goes to show how many people on flickr could give a damn about the quality of their photos!
I dont think i would ever post a photo from a camera phone anywhere (unless it was newsworthy and i had the potential to be paid for it!)

Actually, Jim Askew here took a few shots and posted them. Very nice. Makes my little Canon SD 850 very jealous and I don't need the 3 techie devices I take with me all the time, an ipod, a cell phone and a camera. See how this gem is so useful?

I think this points to the audience of Flickr. While they have some enthusiasts and pros, I think Flickr is like Facebook of photography, a social networking and sharing place that uses photos.
