Would like to hear what some of you think about my photography. I haven't gone to any classes, don't have a studio YET. These photos I took in my daughters room using natural light coming through the 2 windows. I feel that I'm ready to start "charging" not much at first but would like to eventually earn something as I'm a SAHM. I have a few "friends" who are pro photogs but I get the feeling they don't want to help me. I couldn't become competition 4 them we live hundreds of miles apart and they have YEARS of experience.
I have to say, I know my photo's sooc don't look 2 good and most of the "magic" happens in photoshop.
Would really like to hear your honest opinion...

You are most definately on the right track! I really like the 1st 2. The 3rd shot is cute, but her hand is moving and that is a bit distracting. Maybe crop it as more of a face shot? and the 4th is cute as well. You seem to be at about the point i was when i first started charging. I kept my prices simple and low. Good job, and keep shooting!

The last one...
Just one question for those of you who also use natural light. Can one of you please post a pic of how your photo's look SOOC? Want to see if mine is really that bad or if it just is how it's suppose to be and do all of you get the exposure fixed in photoshop, my photo's are really dark. I used the child setting with no flash ISO 400 and the area mode was on single area (focusing on the eyes)
I don't know how any of the setting work or what they do and everything I know is what I learnt with trail and error.

I think you are headed in the right direction. It looks like you are using some type of white fabric. Go to Home Depot and get a piece of plexi and put it down. Then you won't see the wrinkley fabric by their hands or legs. it's one of the cheap things you can do to make a big difference in your images. Also I think the your colors are good but I think your b/w's are a little flat. Maybe try different processing methods. If you are just converting to greyscale maybe try some adjustments or looking to lightroom.
