I'm relatively new to photography and am wanting to gain experience and learn as much as I can, as quickly as I can. To me, the best way to do that is to learn from someone who already knows what they're doing. Getting to my point, I was wondering if there were any photographers in the Indianapolis/Greenwood, Indiana area that would be willing to take on an "understudy" so-to-speak. I'm passionate about photography, am majoring in photography, and willing to work hard to achieve my goals. When I say "understudy," I mean tagging along on shoots, being able to see how to set up equipment for a shot, seeing which settings to use/when to use them, and stuff like that.
The reason I'm not just sticking to my photography class is being I think there's huge difference between knowing the information and actually going out and capturing that perfect shot.
Is there anybody that would be willing to take me on and help me learn?
