Hi Guys,

I realise this may not be a particularly popular subject, but I am considering switching from Canon to Nikon (used to be a Nikon film user).

I'm just curious if any of you Aussie professionals have worked with a half decent Nikon store? I'm finding it very hard to find a camera store that can handle the needs of a professional, and isn't just an average joe retail outlet.

BTW I haven't decided 100% yet... I'm moving to full frame bodies and will thus need new glass etc, so now is the time to make the switch, or never, as the investment is too big to make twice.

Thanks :)

These guys may be able to help you out. Clicky Clicky (http://cameras.net.au/)

I don't know how reasonable their pricing is though.

If you're in Sydney try http://www.fotoriesel.com.au/shop/ - they used to be very professional and cater well to the pro market.

Oh, just further on from this... what's considered THE Nikon forum? I.e. the equivalent of POTN? I Googled Nikon Forum and found www.nikonians.org but unless that forum UI can be configured a LOT, it's horrible.

It's weird, Nikon guys seem to be so passionate (e.g. Scott Kelby, Joe McNally et al), but the community at large seems to be a bit lacking. Whereas POTN here seems to be a really large (and tight) community of Canon users.

Oh the dilemma!
