We are going to be purchasing a digital camera tomorrow and we are torned between 3 Canon models.
We are thinking of the S30, S40 or the S45 depending on what we can out there. We know there is a differnce in the pixals between the s30 and the S40 and S45. However, we will be using this mainly as replacement for out 35mm camera and will be printing most of the photos. Above all we what excellent photos and something that is esy to use. It can have some bells and whistles but the quality is the most important.
Also is the $100.00 extra worth going to a 4 pixal. All info would be appreciated.
Please reply... Thanks.

Hmmm, If you're going to do a lot of printing, I guess I'd go with a Powershot S40. I own a Powershot S30 and it does really well although I've read that the slight bit more resolution in the 4mp model (S40) does a little better when printing at 8.5x11. I have yet to use the pictures I take for printing. I'm going to buy a new Printer soon but I used my dad's 2yr old HP whatever model it is, and a 3.2mp picture looked fantastic when I printed it out at 8x10.

Oh and comparing the S40 to the S45, there are a few more options in the S45, but if you're mostly just point and shoot and happy with the 3 point autofocus instead of 9, then I'd just stick to an S40 unless the S45 is within around 30 dollars more of an S40. I'm already extremely content with the features of my camera, as I'm just a newbie to manual photography, I've just been taking pictures with 2 other point and shoot digital's in the past.

I think if the money is not a problem, I will choose S45, this is the newest product and I think S40 is behind it. So my opinion if I were you I will buy S45.
