Advice on Car Photography?

I had a few questions about advice on taking photos of .... vehicles!

I would like to attempt to take some really nice photos of my brothers truck he bought. I was just wondering if there were any tips out there as I have never really seriously done photos of cars before (only snap shots). I see a lot of very nice looking pictures here and wondered what advice you could give me!

My equipment is as follows:

Canon Rebel XTI
Sigma 10-20mm
Canon 50mm 1.8
Tamron AF28-80mm F/3.5-5.6
And the kit lens

I don't have a lot, but I think I could manage some decent photos!

look around for ur favorite pics of other cars, and try to match the same angle in ur own pics.

how is the sigma 10-20mm lens?

Try searching the HDR forum....some amazing photos and very knowledgeable folk there.

Yeah, that's what I was gonna try to do. Was wondering if there was any other advice out there.

The sigma 10-20mm is great, I love it for nature shots and stuff. You can get so much more in the picture without having to back up 100 miles to get it. :) A lot say the canon wide angle is better though, but that one is very expensive compared to the sigma.

I am not a huge fan of HDR - although it looks nice... it's just way too much editing process for me.

An UWA lens would be my choice.

a circular polarizer can be a very important part of car photography if you dont have any for your lenses already
