Someone was recently talking about PhotoTile in another thread. I made this photo tiling of my two boys. I had it enlarged and printed out poster size for each of them for Christmas. It's made up of all the different photos I have taken of them and other friends and family over the years. Looks great on the wall in their rooms. It has about 1900 total tiles. Unforntunately I only had about 500 good photos that I wanted to use so their are duplicates. They loved it anyway...

Here is a 100% crop of one of their eyes...

I've seen that idea before and really like it. I dread to ask how long it took you.

Thanks for all the nice comments.

I just took it to a local printer. They mounted the print on a 1/2 inch of foam board and covered it with a clear glossy UV protectant sheet. Each one cost about $90.

It really didn't take that long. The PhotoTile program comes with a batch utility to resize your pictures into tiles. Then you run the main program. Less than an hour total.

Great Pic ! This sort of picture is on my to do list. Right now I'm saving all the pic's I shoot so I can have a large enough pool to get started. Thanks for the info.

Very cool!!

Did you have to select the images for it to use - put them all in one folder? Can you choose multiple folder for it to pull images from?
