L Glass....or Popcorn?

We have been having fun with wildlife lately and it reminded me of this. I'm not sure if I should invest in some long L glass or just buy more popcorn. This photo was taken on an early evening stroll outside Joseph, Oregon. My wife had just finished a bag of popcorn (right hand) when a demand for sharing was expressed. I actually had a long lens on the old film camera and had to backpeddle to get this in focus and framed....
