Hey Everyone :)

It's been a while since I've posted anything here, but I have some landscape shots that I'm not too happy with...

Have a look and tell me what you think.

Not sure what it is I don't like about them.

At first I thought it may be a lack of interesting subject, but not sure.
Also, #2's sky is a little too hot in the top right corner.

Any ideas/CC would be much appreciated!

I know where your going with these. You have the fundamental pillars of a solid image. Composition, subject matter in forground... It's just that the image, subject and everything else are just not that interesting

I like #1 (Except for the houses in the distance on the right). With the stump in the foreground and the live tree in the background, an appropriate title might be "You're Next". Whatever black thing that is on the ground center left, get rid of it.

In #2, the light is not your friend. The cut logs are in shadow and the bright clouds tricked your meter into underexposing everything else. The buildings in the background are distracting.

The second for me.the destruction of the tree and the encroaching city looming in the Bg works for me anyways, Maybe some more light on the foreground matter though?
