I spent all day Friday at the airport watching arrivals and practice for the weekend show. I am glad I was there to capture this Navy E-6 Looking Glass arriving. I was backed up to the river levee at the south end of the runway and this big guy came screaming past me before I could react. Luckily he was a little too hot to get it set down on the 7000' runway and he had to go around.

I was ready on the second try.

He sure left lots of tread on the runway. I think he was on the brakes even before touchdown.

Interesting shots. You seem to have some blown highlights in #3.

What airport? I flew from Detroit to MCI for a vehicle launch at Ford KCAP 20-something times.

Thanks mlav. This is at the Charles Wheeler airport. It is just north and across the river from downtown KC. MCI replaced this one when the jets got too big to get in and out of here.
