I sent out my resume for an ad in the paper. It's for a writer/photographer for a website that sells model trains and I got a call saying that the lady wants to set up an interview. I guess I would be taking photos of the trains and writing the descriptions for them. Or maybe updating their reference database. The website is www.trainz.com. The only thing I said about photography in my resume was that "I own a Canon Digital SLR camera. Examples of my photography available upon request." and I listed Jasc Paint Shop Pro as software I have experience with. NONE of my job experince is for photography. So clearly I am not trying to represent myself as a pro. But she DOES want an interview!

Any advise on what I should say at the interview? Bring some of my work? Wish me luck!

Get your hands on some trains or similar toys, take a load of photos of them, bring it along as a portfolio. You just want to show that you are as good, or better than the person who took the existing photos on their website.

And good luck.
