thanks for taking a peek! i am lost and confused as to what type and style of camera i need and am wondering if any experts might be able to help me, so i came here! i am looking for a digital camera that i can put in my fishing bag, so it must be fairly waterproof, also be 4mp or higher, also have a remote, prefereably infra red,l take great night shots as i do most my fishing at night and be rugged enough to be lugged around can anyone point me in the right direction or suggest a few models i should look at i am not interested in paying lots of money so would prefer something second hand do you know of anything suitable or do you have anything suitable i could buy off you that you no longer require? many thanks for taking the time to stop by any and all help appreciated! Hi, welcome, what is your budget? Most of the DSLRs are not that waterproof, but a few companies have just come out with waterproof point and shoots that may be good for you.

Yep, sounds like you need a waterproof/shockproof compact camera. There are a few on the market but without searching I can't name any right now!! Have a look on Google for "waterproof camera" and I'm sure it'll come up with a few.

hi grimes and mike! thanks for that advice lads gonna do a bit more searching now my budget is almost non existant so im gonna be buying something second hand with the beielief (mistaken?) that i can get something a bit better for my money i dont want anything above 6mp really so am hoping to find something someone is upgrading from and can recommend how come i cant post my want to buy request on the classified ads here lads any ideas? thanks again for your time!
