Rowing

Anyone shoot rowing from a media boat? Looking for some advice on lens selection in that situation. I'm thinking 70-200 is a 300 overkill?

I would think that all depends on how far your media boat is going to be away from your subjects. I've shot plenty of rowing before, but never from a boat.

Personally, I'd probably bring both, but I'd make sure some rain gear was along for the ride as well as making sure my insurance is up to date.
