RAW,
I ran the image thru Neat Image and it helped quite a bit. Don't know if you use noise removal software but Neat Image is free for download and can smooth out lots of stuff in photos. I'm still learning all it can do but I like it.
BTW - precious package you have there. Absolutely beautiful...

This is the way I do it on PS cs. I guess you can do it the same on PS 7
1. Use the Hue/saturation. Select the Reds. Move the hue a bit to the right, until you see the red diminish a bit, without getting yellow.
Use the healing tool, or the paint brush set at 25 % or so, pick the color from the more subdued parts of color on his cheeks. Run it over the red parts.
Good luck !!
I hope you don't mind. I took the liberty of doing it, so you'd see..
If you think I shouldn't post it, lemme know and I'll take it down.
Beautiful baby, BTW
Regards

I liked the 1st one. It's so much more natural.

The last modification is too slik for me. It's like an advertisement for baby lotion.
I like the original best; the red cheeks are nice. I know what these feel like; best thing in the world is a happy, cosy, warm, safe baby. That is also the message this picture tells me. Nice!
In all three images I find the green piglet fabric in the lower right a bit distracting; the rest is nicely balanced soft tones, with intersting varioations of softness and shininess, but this corner is a bit of a disonant.

I loved them.
he was getting his first teeth at the time
a picture showing those moments are a once in a life time capture.
I like yours very much

My baby had red cheeks for several months. On the occasions I wanted to disguise this, I found converting to black and white was a good solution, especially using Capture One's colour selector thingy to alter the colour balance. You can do the same thing in PS with the channel mixer I think.

Ballen Photo...thank you, thank you...it is my friends son and my friend is ugly, lol, jk:lol: ...the light really wasn't that great but he stayed so still that I could put the shutter to 4" so I get the right exposure....he is a very good model...;) .
Fer...I really don't mind and great results, thank you for your help.
Mike2005...that's what I decided to do Mike, keep the original, thank you for your reply.
Hava..first of all thank you for your reply Hana, second I agree with your comment especialy about the piglet in the corner, but I love original and even if I didn't I don't really know how to get rid of it...please advise.

marie...thank you very much for your reply and the time spent on it. This is two things for me getting good photos for my friends and learn the camera for when I have kids...;) . I never use flash with small kids so in a low light condition like this one it is very hard because they are so energetic, thats why I plan to spend on a flash soon...420ex...thanks again all for your replies.

Nor do I, other then trying not to have it in in the first place next time around. That would make good even better. Isn't it great that there is always room to grow ;) (and that most certainly applies to me as well)

I thought it was your own baby Artan, so thought the shot would be more precious to you in later life left as it is , but as you say you are taking shots of a friend's baby , well, that's different in every way. how we look at it and how you want to show them the finished result and what their feelings are , about what they want to see
good luck

Thank you Marie,
Well, the only reason I want to ask before I do anything is the fact that this is not my baby :) , so the only one who will decide what I will do with the photo is the parents...;) . Actually when I think even more I will do many versions and let them choose, how about that :D .
