My oldest left for college last week and I decided that I had to take this classic shot. Sadly, I didn't prepare (it was VERY last minute), but I think it turned out pretty well. It's got more sentimental value than artistic, but I thought I'd share.

(Taken with my XS and, yes, the flash. Sigh.)

AWWW:) Thats a sweet thing to say! I know its true too! Great picture! They all have cute expressions too! I like the baby in the middle!

Oh and FWIW, I dont think Maxamara meant anything negative by the 'much' comment. He probably just meant it would be cool/fun to do some to it:)

The vignetting is a little distracting. Bit much.

I think you did a fab job!! I have one kid and trying to get her to look at the camera can be difficult. You got all 10 of your beautiful kids to look at you at the same time, my hat goes off to you. Excellent job. This is a photo that you will cherish forever.

Yeah, I'd be interested in what he would do. I don't know if there is much I could do to improve the quality (it was taken spur-of-the-moment and with the flash), but it's possible. I did try a B&W conversion which was OK. Thanks for the comment -- we got a kick out of our little guy in the middle like that, too. :)

Ha! Well, I am the oldest of 8, too -- back in the day when big families were a lot more common. :D

I did lessen it and I could easily lessen it more or just eliminate it altogether. I am considering using this for our Christmas pictures, so I'll have to see. Thanks!

No medal here, but it is a lot of work (and blessings.) Thanks again for everyone's kind comments. I am amazed that they all looked at the camera at the same time, esp. as I was holding it over my head!! Of course, it took several shots to get the right one, but they were very good about it. :D
