nice shots, particularly like the tomcat although it looks like it needs a Jury Brace

Thank you!!!! (I assume the Jury Brace is part of the front landing gear, yes?)

Didn't realize they had a tomcat there. I'll have to go back.

Nice series in a very tough place to shoot. The SS Enterprise is the strongest of the lot IMO.
Looks as if the nose strut on the Tomcat has lost its Nitrogen charge and has just settled on the stops.

When a 14 is on the cat, it kneels down. Looks to be the 'pose' they're looking for.
Udvar-Hazy is continually getting new stuff in, making quarterly return visits worthwhile.

Thank you! I like the photo of the Enterprise too. :D Yes, it is a tough place to shoot. It was a fun challenge however, and I enjoyed it.

nice stuff, I was there a couple of years ago and it looks like they've added some decent upgrades (tomcat wasn't there last time, the enterprise was still being worked on and the blackbird didn't have those lights underneath)

Thank you! I know they're working on an expansion, so over time it will get even better.

Correct they fill the Oleo with Nitrogen then brace it open, if i knew about that cat earlier i could have arranged for one to be sent to Udvar-Hazy

However thats not a launch position due to the fact the launch bar is up ;) meaning the Oleo is out of Nitrogen :(

Great shots. Love the SR-71. You can see how the Groom Lake locals could have thought they saw a UFO when that and the A12 flew around.
