Went to Muriwai Beach today and took some photos of gannets. They were busy building their nests. What do you guys think?

Wow thanks guys! It was a canon 70-200mm f4. Some birds were like 3 meters away, I used my WA at times.

How's the exposure? That's what worries me because my monitor is not set up and I'm not likely to get around to being able to calibrate for sometime.

Exposure...1st one is a little overexposed...part of the wing is blown out but it may be salvageable with PP. 2nd and 3rd are spot on.
nice shots.

I thought the exposure for its head was ok. The wing is blown out, is this something you would mask out and expose differently or does the whole pick need to be dropped down?

I have this other pic and the bird is perfectly side side on, with its wings up and out straight. It looks like one of those planes that has the wings coming from the top of the fusalge. Are they called Whisper jets?

I like the 3rd one. It is starring right down its beak at you.

Ditto! The 3rd is my favorite. Love how he is yelling at you. :D

#2 is great too, but wish both wings were in. :(
