I like the styling of the classified 140 AW (http://products.lowepro.com/product/Classified-140-AW,2119,20.htm).
I've also looked at the Topload series (http://products.lowepro.com/catalog/Toploading,8.htm) which seems pretty reasonable.
Do you have a grip? What kind of lenses do you have?

does anyone have the Lowepro Cirrus TLZ 15??
i dont have a grip yet...gonna go to best buy and try it first before buying it

I use the apex 140AW:
http://products.lowepro.com/product/Apex-140%20AW,1903.htm
It BARELY fits the XS+55-250, but it is bulging at the bottom. If you had a lens shorter than that you should be fine. It fits my XS with 18-55 or Sigma 30 perfectly. There is a little room under the grip side for a small lens (like 18-55 or smaller) if you do decide to bring two lenses.

thats a little big, just a bag to fit my XS snuggly, my biggest lens is my 80-200.

The reason I ask about the grip is that will totally change the bag you get. Toploader Pro series would be needed if you'd want a grip.
The Cirrus TLZ 15 might be a little small if you decide to bring a zoom. The big plus with the pro series is that you can mount a lens case easily to bring extras along if needed. So if you get the Toploader 70 (pro or none pro), you'll be able to have the XS with the 28-135 or 18-55.

I love my Domke F-5XB. It's very compact and not bulky at all.

+1 on the Domke F-5XB.
It will hold a camera with any one of your anticipated lenses and be quite small.

I used the Nova 140 on occasion. Its great for that one lens. It fit my xs and kit lens perfectly.

Look out for holsters. I know you like Lowepro, but Think Tank Photo makes some awesome "Digital Holster" bags.

Second on the Lowepro Classified140 AW. It has room if you want to add a Speedlite at some time.

Good, hope you like the Cirrus. I don't have that particular bag, but I do like my Topload Zoom Pro AW 70. Fits my 40D and 24-70 lens nicely. I can also carry an extra lens or flash. The sliplock system also permits addition of a lens case, but I prefer to carry a water bottle.
TVPhotog, I am curious how you set up your Classified 140. I have the same bag but cannot fit much inside it without removing all the dividers. How did you arrange yours?

when i recently got into dslrs, i was lookin at the lowpro sling bags because they were the only bags that looks remotely nice in my opinion. they were a little outside my price range because i was unwiling to pay around 100 for just a camera bag. the other single camera bags were not very appealing to me
i normally go on trips where i store my camera in my regular school bag and this sounds ghetto..but i decided to purchase a thermos lunch bag to store my equipment! it's nicely padded, stores the DSLR, battery charger and additional 55-250mm lens. the best part of it all, is that it cost me less than 10bucks from wal-mart.

I would have never guess Domke sells reasonable priced stuff.

Funny, that's what I thought about Crumpler :{)#

I never said they were cheap. They're "stylish". Domke is, on the other hand, mostly not worth it. Some bags. The small ones a that are as much as the big ones are ridiculous.
