ok just bought a used s200,

after playing with it a few hours, on and off, I just noticed that the LCD is blurry when I'm in the record modes, that is there is quite a bit of noise on the LCD screen. However, when I take a picture, and view it on the playback, it is crystal clear?

anyone kno what is going on.

Im fairly sure that it is normal. The noise appears more prominently in dark surroundings. It is no big deal and is due to the fact that you are getting presented with a slightly lower quality image to keep the display working in real time without too much delay!

As the previous contributor said, the fuzzy lcd is due to using it in dark surroundings and what you are seeing is 'noise'. The camera has to amplify the available light levels so much this 'noise' starts to appear onscreen. As long as your images are coming out alright when you view them on the computer everything is alright. You don't notice this on outside shots in a clear or sunny day?
