View Full Version : How do you crop 100%?

One way I can see is to zoom 100% and then do a screen capture. Is there another more direct way?

100% crop is misleading - when people say this, they really want to view a picture (usually a part of a larger photo) such that one pixel of the pic is mapped onto exactly one pixel on their monitor.
You can just crop an image in photoshop with the regular crop tool (does not matter what "zoom" you are set at), and as long as it will fit in a person's screen without resizing, then it is considered a 100% crop.
I hope that was not too confusing.

An alternate way is to change the canvas size to whatever size you want and then drag the layer around to frame the portion of the photo how you want it. Though that isn't a whole lot different than using the crop tool and then dragging around the crop area to where you want it.
