Here are some shots I took at my nieces soccer game this past Saturday.
All taken with the 75-300. Autoleves, resize and saved for the web in PSCS.
Comments and suggestions welcome. Thanks for looking.

Try cropping tighter on the action or player. You have the kids faces and the ball in the shots which is important, but crop :)

I would agree, having a tighter shot will really have a good impact.

Yea, I'd have to say the same. Instead of shooting a group of kids, cut it down to 1, or 2 kids in the frame at a time and make it a tight crop. Try to get it in the frame on the camera though rather than cropping on the computer of course. Also, I haven't done this myself yet (still a noob) but I've heard kneeling down and shooting from a low position adds to the impact of the photo. It's also always good to try to position yourself somewhere where hopfully there wont be too many shadows caused by back lit subjects and stuff like that.

Great start though!!!

Good start, and I agree on the cropping.

But I can understand the difficulty of getting tight player shots with young kids.
I shot soccer last week with 8 yr olds, though I don't have my zoom yet.
The younger they are, the more it looks like a rugby scrum than soccer.
The older they get, the positioning is more separated and easier to isolate players.
Good luck.
