So I'm going to attempt to manufacture a Mount for my Rokkor 16mm Fisheye, Possibly by fixing a Screw Mount onto it. I've heard of the infinit focus problem, and with some careful grinding, you can get it to be pretty crisp.

I'm going to attempt my first shot of this on some of my other Minolta lenses first, for safetys sake, then, If i get acceptable results, move onto the fisheye.

I've found a few places that explain how they were able to pull it off, but if any of you fine folks have some fine pointers, let me know!

I converted a Rokkor 58 1.4 relatively easy, but the fisheye might be more difficult as most MC mount lens conversions are slightly different (aperture mechanisms/rear element clearance).

A few pointers: get a written plan together with all necessary dimensions and math done before you start cutting metal. Use a pair of calipers to do the measuring and be precise. Have fun doing it.

Isn't the Rokkor 16mm fisheye a rare lens?

I'm doing a runthrough on a beaten up and decrepit 55mm 1.7 lens. I figure with that I can have a better knowing when I get started on the Fisheye.

As for the rarity on the fisheye, I am not sure... Never actually looked into it.
