Well Dick, having suggested that you post your pic here,
I'm happy to give you my 2 cents' worth.
Night shots usually require long exposures and long exposures usually mean that there is a danger of camera shake. It looks as though this shot is not as sharp as it should be and camera shake is usually the problem.
A Tripod is usually the answer to this.
Another tip.
Don't take night shots at night !
Take them when all the lights are on but while there is still some light in the sky.
Here you have a tall tower, the Palms, but it is causing you to have large black areas in your image.
Imagine these same areas with sunset colors or even a dark blue sky. Not black.
The foreground is not really interesting. Just a car park and all in brown tones.
Vegas is famous for its neon signs. I think you should concentrate on these in your compositions.
Get llights and more lights and atmosphere in your Vegas shots. Make them exciting.
From the vantage point you used, I think the pic would be more effective as a vertical shot, concentrating on
the Palms and the large sign further away.
No car park and some color in the sky......... and sharp....... and you have a good image.
Not easy to get a good shot from where you were.
Well as stated, that's my 2 cents' worth,
and why you came to Critique Corner.
I look forward to seeing more of your work.
Kind regards
eland

Agree with the comments. For a good night shot you can't pull away the curtain of your hotel room and shoot. Needs a little more effort.
