Nothing technically or artistically great about this pix. Just felt sorry for him and was wondering if he would figure away to get his paw out.

There's always the option of chewing his leg off.

That's the problem - its only a minority of morons who simply don't care about anyone, or anything else. We see it time and time again over here, birds and animals caught in plastic rings Coke cans, whatever. You can follow cars and watch the sweet wrappers and other rubbish being jettisoned out of the window.
Drives me nuts:evil:
I agree with LazyPhotographer, you should have got an animal welfare organisation involved

I took this at the county landfill. The guy working there pointed him out to me. He said he sees it quite often. The place is so large they dont really pay any attention to critters like that because they can get easily lost and it isnt any good trying to trap them since they have all the scrap food in the world.

Great but sad Photo. Not to defend the few idiots that throw trash around, but the problem isn't so much that, as the design of the can. Racoons will climb into trash cans, dumpsters or anything else and get themselfs into all sorts of trouble.
