Here is a picture I took today of my daughter in front of my patio doors. I shot this with my 50D Sigma 18-50mm 2.8 EX at 50mm. I had a speedlight 380EX mounted at 1/64 F4.0...

I think it turned out pretty nice C&C Please!

Nice first post. Looks like it might be a little soft on her nose,eyes are sharp! Kids aren't so bad with that. Could be my monitor too. Nice color and well exposed. The crop works well also. Welcome to POTN.

I agree. Eyes are very sharp. Nose, mouth area seems soft, but like you said, you can get away with that here. A couple hard shadows that you might be able to soften up in PP, but all in all it's nice.

I like it.

I used a soft filter in PS for this but no crop. This was done in the full frame. Here is the original...

The original looks good. I would nix the soft filter. Also keep an eye on cutting off fingers:)
