i wish i had noticed the two strans of grass hanging down. other than that i got what i was looking for.

thoughts?

Those two strands of grass could easily be removed. I am sure if you turn your image editing ok on someone would take a stab at photoshopping them out for you.

I think that it is rendered too bright.

If you just darken the entire image uniformly, it may give better detail in the highlights and would certainly lower the values in the overheated background.

In other words it needs the brightness turned down. If it was shot in RAW mode there will more probability that the highlight detail can be salvaged.

I used the Brightness/Contrast control and changed brightness to -50 with good result. Don't dare take away the two strands of whatever - they make the picture.
