I've seen some very impressive macro shots out of the A95. You can put a converter and close up filters on it, right?

OT, You still have that XXXX size spire thing in that place? Amarillo helium monument or something as I (dimly) remember. Got any pics of R66 relics?

Heh heh...yeah, actually we do. I'll snap some shots of it next time I'm at that park. The funny thing about that monument is we no longer produce helium in this area. The old plant that is all rundown is pretty cool looking and I plan on going out there sometime to take some photographs.

Here's a pretty ugly shot of the cadillac ranch. It's not that great to begin with and resizing it made it that much worse.

Anyway, I'm always amazed when someone tells me they've heard of little ole Amarillo.

Phonetically its a great word. That is literally how I know of Amarillo. I needed a name for a boat that came over the sked easy. Its amazing how many people name their boat "Argus-Sun-Sue V" or some over stupid psuedo-stylish name. Remember the boats scenes in Caddyshack or whatever with Rodney Dangerfield?

sooner or later I will start a PAD at pbase and I have a lot of things around here I'd like to photograph. I assume you know Amarillo is Spanish for yellow, so I always have fun telling people I'm from a town named after the color of urine! lol.
