277T Speedlite

I just found a 277T flash that is in working order. Anyone has any info on this flash? Is it good enough to use as a hair light or side light with a remote trigger?

I am thinking of getting a small softbox and for it if it is worth it. Any thoughts and/or recommendations for a softbox?

Google is amazing. Its an auto flash so it wont do you much good off camera and it wont work in auto mode with DSLR's. Even if it would work, why would you spend $50 or more on a softbox for a $2 flash?

I am still learning quite a bit, and reading that it is an auto flash did not mean anything to me. Thanks gonzogolf, answers like this are the reason I love this place. :)
