Your input is much appreciated,
Answers can be based on what preferred post processing tool would be.
Thanks.

My Wacom Intuos 2 is one of my all-time favourite purchases. Use the highly accurate cordless mouse and it automatically works in "mouse mode". Use the pen and it's a tablet. Don't make the mistake I did and buy smaller ones first. The 9x12 is a perfect size (unless you're an architect, then I guess you'll want something bigger).

I am not voting just because I use both mouse and tablet w/pen and I cannot make multiple choices. It all depends on what type of work you need to carry out.

The Wacom tablets come with a pen and a mouse. I use them both almost exclusively for all my computer work and hardly ever use the mouse that came with my computer anymore.

Depends where you are though. For example, in New Zealand the Intuos 3 is sold in different packages - the cheapest (but still expensive) is without the mouse or software package. My Microsoft cordless mouse is also virtually never used. I see they've increased the resolution to 5080 lines per inch in the Intuos 3. Not sure why I'd need that!

When you switch from a mouse to a tablet for working in Photoshp.. it will feel very similar to the switch from a 2.0MP fixed focus point and shoot to a $1,500.00 DSLr with good glass.

Hm. Maybe I need to invest in some of these tablets. But so far my Logitech MX510 has been very good to me :)

Just get the $99.00 "graphire" it is an awesome littel tool... and does 95% of what the Intous does :)
