He is actually being lifted up in the air by the bride. There is a hidden mouthpiece that connects their two heads, and all she has to do is balance him as he jumps up.

if you rotate the image 180º it would appear to be not too difficult of a set up.
the groom is standing on a canvas (his tie pulled up by a string) and pants slightly lifted up. the bride hangs off of a raised platform. the shot is taken above the groom's head.
that would be my guess. a pretty cool shot nevertheless.

there's also motion blur on the boots, and also with this explanation - how wou;d you explain the position of the bride?
As i am reading the photographers hints -
-flash was used,
-it is real sky on the BG

He jumped down from a platform and is milliseconds away from flattening the bride.

haha then there blows my theory, eh?
i see a slight inconsistency in the photo -- the bride's earring is not parallel to the tie. i wonder if that's a clue in itself.

I think the groom is laying on something that has been photoshopped out.
Low camera angle and a seated bride for the kiss.

motion blur from the legs points at the bride sitting down with the guy jumping up for the shot. Low angle with him on the opposite side of the bride.
So:
Guy Jumping behind bride while having the kiss on her ALREADY. Then he jumps
Bride sitting in chair, lip-locked looking up.
Camera at a low angle to emphasize the jump.
That's what it looks like to me.

It looks real... I think he is most likely someone who can do that sort of a jump/back flip type move. She is sitting down, her ear rings are reacting normally I think.

Well, the Cyrillic alphabet makes me suspect that this is an Olympic class Russian gymnast's wedding.
OR...
A KGB plot to discredit Western photographers on a wholesale scale...

I agree with this. Looks like she is sitting or standing and he is laying on something slightly higher than her; and what he is laying on is photoshopped out.
