I just got back from Titusville after watching STS-128 launch towards the ISS. What a show!

Hopefully the embedding works:

Just in case, here's the link (http://picasaweb.google.com/ztross/ShuttleAndISS#5375292448584208034).

By the way, 1000mm of lens is hard to keep aimed!

For those who ask: distance, 12mi; Canon 40D, Sigma 150-500mm, Kenko 2xTC, manual mode and focus, set to ISO800, f/16, 1/500. Focus is slightly off, so after some Neat Image I applied a little Unsharp Mask.

Good attempt... I guess it's harder to capture such a thing at night.
